ABOUT - CLUB HISTORY

Touch Football started in the Hornsby Shire in 1973 when a group of men and boys met on Saturday mornings for an hourly game.

As the numbers grew, it was decided to enter teams in the North Sydney Junior League competition during the summer; two sides, Hornsby and Claude Fays entered the competition playing at Artarmon. After a few seasons it was decided to begin a competition in the Hornsby area.

Officially, Hornsby & District Touch Football stared in 1977 with six teams; Asquith Whites, Asquith Blacks, Berowra, Hornsby League, Claude Fays and Hornsby Heights.

Berowra, led by Brian Fulmer, dominated the first three years of the competition.
