Touch Football Basics – Video
The video above describes how to play Touch Football using 7th addition rules. Since this video the rules have been updated to 8th addition rules where the defense must retire or get back 7m (previously 5m).
U9s will play modified rules. Modified means both teams will have the ball for 6 touches. This means any infringements or mistakes that would usually attract a penalty or change of possession are a Touch at the mark.
How are teams Organised?
Hornsby Touch accept both individual and team nominations. With individual registrations we try to match kids with friends and/or schools on a first come basis.
If you have organised a team, please have all of your players register as a matter or urgency and send us an email with your players’ names.
Please be mindful when organising teams so no child is excluded. Better to make two smaller teams than have some kids miss out or feel socially isolated.
Can my child play with a friend?
Two friends may be nominated on the registration form. While there is no guarantee of placement with a friend every effort is made to accommodate the child’s wishes.
